U2 cancels North American U2360 Tour

U2 postpones tour after Bono’s back surgery, giving him time to rest. It could take up to two months for him to fully recover. They had to cancel 16 dates of their U2360 Tour from June 3 and July 19.

His doctor, Dr. Muller Wohlfahrt, said: "Bono suffered severe compression of the sciatic nerve. On review of his MRI scan, I realized there was a serious tear in the ligament and a herniated disc, and that conservative treatment would not suffice." As a result Bono suffered extreme pain and partial paralysis in one of his legs.

Spinal surgery + leg paralysis: Legit

Mastodon cancels European Tour

Guitarist Bill Kelliher has been diagnosed with Pancreatitis and has been advised by doctors to continue medical treatment. His doctors expect a full recovery, but the band has to cancel their upcoming summer tour of Europe, originally set to begin June 5 in Germany, through July 3 in Finland.

Major organ malfunction: Legit

Christina Aguilera postpones US tour

Christina is healthy but bit off more than she could chew, and has postponed her upcoming 20-date US tour...to 2011..!?!?

“Christina Aguilera’s summer tour has been moved to 2011 due to prior commitments that the singer had made to her film, ‘Burlesque,’ and to the promotion of her new album, ‘Bionic,’ ” Live Nation, the tour’s promoter, announced in a statement. “The singer felt she needed more time to rehearse the show and with less than a month between the album release and tour date this wasn’t possible.”

The tour was scheduled to begin in July. Livenation has announced that refunds are available where the tickets were purchased.

Limp Bizkit cancels US tour

"Our reason for moving the U.S. tour dates is simple: We insist on bringing you the best concert experience we have to offer. An amphitheatre environment won't allow us to do that with so many seats directly in front of the stage. Moving away from amphitheatres and into venues with appropriate floor space will allow more room for jumping, dancing, and moshing directly in front of the stage, instead of on a grassy knoll a hundred yards away. Ultimately, this is what we prefer…. We feel strongly about our decision and want this to be your best concert experience of 2010."

Online rumors speculate that the real reason behind the cancellation were actually poor ticket sales.

Publicist fumbling for an excuse: Weakest

I refuse to report any “news” or trash Lindsay Lohan. She’s all over the tabloids and is a total hot mess but let’s give it a rest and let her deal with her drug/alcohol/etc issues privately. I watched Mean Girls this weekend, I say we all remember her back when she was cute and keep it at that until she recovers.
