Simon leaving 'Idol'

Simon Says: "I'm bored", so he's jumping ship.

Good for him, seriously. I watched this season's "Idol" for the first time this past Tuesday. Literally the only reason I watch that show is for his reactions, clever comments and the fantastic way those hotshot singers' faces fall (or better yet, tear up) after he rips them apart with acidic criticism.  It's not nice, but it's the truth, and it makes for great television.

He was so clearly bored, parroting what the other three judges said with every comment.  The performances were extraordinarily boring, it's true, so there wasn't much to say. But still. YAWN.
