Bret Michaels wins Celebrity Apprentice

The finale of Celebrity Apprentice 2010 brought high stakes and drama in the battle between Bret Michaels and Holly Robinson Peete.  Behind the scenes however, Bret battled life-threateningly high stakes as he suffered and recovered from a massive brain hemorrhage on April 22 following an emergency appendectomy, and this past week was hospitalized for a Transient Ischemic Attack, or what doctors called a "warning stroke".

Even though Bret's doctors strongly urged him not to appear on the show, Bret, while taking no undue health risks, said he "came to win" and win he did.   In the end, the extraordinary underdog Bret Michaels was "hired" by The Donald, winning $250,000 for the American Diabetes Association.

Bret was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes as a child and his daughter Raine was diagnosed as borderline diabetic while Bret was participating on the show this season.
